I started reading Breakfast of Champions and its already my favorite book
its a satirical book about America in the near future particularly about a sci-fi author named Killgore Trout

I'm so glad you like Vonnegut! You might also like Slaughterhouse Five, it's one of his more famous books and it comments a lot on war and has some science fiction aspects with time travel.
